Worthiness Meditation
There has been something arriving in my awareness for the past several weeks. A sense that worthiness is moving through the collective right now, asking to be tended.
Many of us have tied our sense of worth to things that fluctuate. Beauty. Wealth. Health. Status. A role we hold. Sobriety. The way we are behaving in a given moment. The validation we receive from others.
When our worthiness is tied to fluctuating things, our worthiness fluctuates with them.
This short guided meditation, about six and a half minutes long, walks you through unhooking from those places and returning to the worthiness that is already inherent in you. There is nothing you need to do or be to earn it. You are worthy at the deepest level.
Before you begin:
Find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted.
You may want to have a journal nearby. Before pressing play, take a few moments to write down the places you have tied your worthiness to things that can shift. Let the list come however it wants to come. There is no judgment here, only awareness.
When you are ready, settle into a comfortable position. Press play.
After the meditation:
Take a few moments before returning to your day. You might notice what has shifted, what feels lighter, what feels more open. You might write a few words in your journal, or simply rest in the space the practice has opened.
This meditation can be returned to whenever you feel your worthiness has hooked itself to something fluctuating. It is here for you.
